The final episode of the drama series " A Calm Sea and Beautiful Days with You " (Fuji TV, Thursdays at 10pm), starring actor Kyoko Yoshine and co-starring Kyoya Honda, was broadcast on June 26th. Immediately after the broadcast, there was a reaction on social media, with some people whispering that they were "missing Meoto Biyori".... The most memorable scenes from the final episode and stills capturing heartwarming moments between the couple have been revealed for the first time. It was also announced that the series will be released on Blu-ray and DVD.
The drama is based on the manga of the same name currently being serialized on Kodansha's manga app "Comic DAYS." It depicts the love story that begins in 1936, when Natsumi (Yoshine) and Imperial Navy lieutenant Takimasa Ebata (Honda) get married after zero days of dating after receiving a marriage proposal.
The final scene cuts that were released are all ones that tell the depth of the time they have spent together as a couple and a family. Scenes that were released include Natsumi rushing to the entrance after seeing Takitakachou safely return home, jumping into his arms and clinging to him in tears, and a scene where Natsumi's family all eat together to celebrate Takitakachou's return.
There is also a photo of Natsumi and Takita Masaru going to pick up their wedding rings, a special "anniversary" for the two of them. It is a happy scene with a smile on Natsumi's face as she puts on the gimel ring, which symbolizes "two people who will never be apart" and "eternal love."
Additionally, a scene cut of the "Fukafumi" pair of Yoshimori Fumiko (Yamamoto Maika) and Fukami Ryunosuke (Koseki Yuta) was also revealed for the first time. As Fumiko was shopping, Fukami suddenly appeared in front of her in military uniform with one arm bandaged, and in this "unexpected reunion", Fumiko was surprised and confused, but also had a look of relief on her face, while Fukami was filled with joy at being reunited with Fumiko once again. It was a "precious" scene in which each of them realized once again how important each other's existence was.
The release of a Blu-ray and DVD box set was also announced. In addition to all episodes, it will also include bonus footage such as behind-the-scenes footage and interviews with the cast. It is scheduled to be released on December 3rd of this year, and pre-orders began on June 26th at the Fuji TV e! Shop.
