Model Izumi Mori attended the 17th Best Mother Awards 2025 ceremony held in Tokyo on May 8. She revealed that her eldest daughter, who started elementary school this spring, has become interested in her hobby of DIY.
Mori smiled happily and said, "They help me with painting and things like that. They have ideas that only children can have, so it's a learning experience for us, and they sometimes serve as a reference."
Her eldest daughter's room is pink, but she said, "Recently, she's started to like purple, so I've been adding more purple accessories.It's fun because it creates memories."She talked about the fun of working with her daughter.
Regarding winning the award, she said, "Compared to my daughter's mom friends...there are so many super moms out there that I'm a bit worried," but added with a smile, "I want to continue enjoying (raising my child)!"
The award has been selected by the Japan Mothers Association since 2008, and the winners are chosen by votes from mothers across the country. This year's winners were Mori in the entertainment category, Dream Ami in the music category, Sumi Reina in the culture category, former badminton player Takahashi Ayaka in the sports category, and novelist and essayist Yamazaki Naoko in the literature category.
