Singer Naoko Ken and her husband Norio Noguchi appeared on Tetsuko Kuroyanagi's long-running talk show "Tetsuko's Room" (TV Asahi), which aired on April 30. In a 2021 appearance on the show, Noguchi talked about how Ken was moving very little and how his pedometer showed he had only walked 12 steps, but she revealed that he was becoming increasingly less mobile.
Noguchi said, "It's accelerating, isn't it? The lack of movement is accelerating," to which Ken replied, "It's a pain to move unless I have to. Everything I need is kept within reach when I sit down, so I don't have to move. If there's something far away, I just say, 'get that.' That's the kind of lifestyle I live."
In 2020, the couple's son and wife had a child. The person who saw his grandchild before Ken-san was singer Kenichi Mikawa. Ken-san laughs that Mikawa told him, "You had a little Naoko." When asked about his grandchild, Ken-san said, "They're so cute. I was pretty desperate and obsessed with raising my own children, but grandchildren are a completely different existence. That's why they're so cute."
Noguchi also said, "It's a relaxed feeling, or rather, it's okay to leave it to other people. I can spoil my child as much as I want, whenever I want, and then I leave the rest to Mom and Dad."
