A collaboration campaign between the TV anime "The Shosetsuka ni Naro Diaries," based on a light novel by Natsu Hyuga that originated from the novel submission website "Let's The Apothecary Diaries," and Ain Pharmacy began on April 7. An original video depicting Maomao solving the characters' problems and introducing the functions and services of a modern dispensing pharmacy was released on the campaign site.
A total of three original videos are planned to be released, with the "Medicine Notebook" currently available. The second, "Personal Pharmacist" will be released on May 8th, and the third, "Online Medication Instructions" on June 2nd. Viewers of the videos will receive an original smartphone wallpaper as a gift. There are three wallpaper designs in total, with the first one featuring Maomao, the second featuring Jinshi, and the third featuring both of them together.
There will also be a campaign where you can win original pill cases, thermos bottles, pouches, and other items designed by Maomao and Jinshi. After watching the video, 500 people who answer the quiz correctly will be chosen to win prizes.
The light novel version of "The Apothecary Diaries" is published by Hero Bunko (Imagine Infos), and its comic adaptation has also become popular. The original series has sold over 40 million copies in total. The story is set in the glamorous harem of a certain continent, where Maomao, a young poison taster, and the handsome eunuch Jinshi become embroiled in an incident that takes place in the harem, which is full of conspiracies and rumors. The first season of the TV anime aired on Nippon TV from October 2023 to March 2024. The second season is currently airing on Nippon TV's anime slot "FRIDAY ANIME NIGHT (Fura-ani)."
