It has been announced that the second season of the TV anime " Dandadan ," based on the popular manga by Yukinobu Tatsu that is currently being serialized on Shueisha's manga app "Shonen Jump+," will be broadcast nationwide on the MBS/TBS late-night anime slot "Super Animeism TURBO" from July 3rd. The golden key visual for the second season has also been released. It depicts Momo about to fight, Okarun after his transformation, and Turbo Granny, with what appears to be a wide-open mouth and the face of someone glaring behind them.
It was also revealed that voice actress Tamura Mutsumi will be playing the role of Jasshi, whose visual had previously only been released. A new visual of Jasshi as a child has also been released. Tamura will also be playing Jasshi as a child. Tamura commented, "The scenes from Jasshi's past were very painful and sad. He looked enviously at the children playing... I acted while thinking how pitiful he was and wishing he could be brought out. I hope everyone feels the same way. I also hope that the contrast with Jasshi's sinister nature after he has become a monster works well."
It was also announced that the first season of the TV anime will be rebroadcast on MBS, TBS, and BS-TBS's anime time slot "Animeism B2" starting in April. It will be broadcast on the MBS and TBS networks every Friday at 2:23 a.m. starting April 11. On BS-TBS, the first episode will be broadcast at 3:30 a.m. on April 14, and thereafter will be broadcast every Friday at 3:30 a.m.
"Dandadan" began serialization in "Shonen Jump+" in April 2021. It depicts Momo, a high school girl from a family of spiritualists, and her classmate Okarun, an occult fanatic, as they face a series of mysterious happenings. The comics have sold over 10 million copies in total. The first season of the anime aired on Super Animeism TURBO from October to December 2024.
