The 11th episode of the NHK Taiga drama " UNBOUND (Berabou) " (General TV, Sunday 8pm and others), starring actor Ryusei Yokohama , "Tomimoto, the Horse Mask of Justice", will be broadcast on March 16th. From this episode, Hamao Noritaka will appear as Ichikawa Monnosuke.
Hamao is known for his role as George Karisaki in the Kamen Rider series "Kamen Rider Revise" (2021-22). He also appeared in NHK's "Drama 10 'Ooku'" (2023), which was written by Yoshiko Morishita , who also wrote " UNBOUND ."
The role he will play this time is Ichikawa Monnosuke, a Kabuki actor active in the theater alongside Tomimoto Toyosato (Gonosuke, played by Kanichiro).
"UNBOUND (Berabou)" is the 64th taiga drama and depicts the life of Tsutaya Juzaburo(or "Tsutajyu" for short), who is said to have laid the foundations for Japan's media industry and pop culture.
In the 11th episode, Tsutaju (Yokohama-san), who is worried because her "Blue Chamber Beauty Double Mirror" is not selling for a high price, is asked by her fathers to invite the popular Joruri chanter Tomimoto Toyosato (Gonosuke) to be the centerpiece of the Niwaka Festival.
He visits the theater with Ritsu (Yumi Adachi) and others and asks Umanosuke to participate in the Niwa Festival, but Umanosuke, who was previously banned from Yoshiwara, turns Tsutajyo away. Meanwhile, Tsutajyo learns that Toriyama Kengyo (Hayato Ichihara) is the boss of Joruri, so he visits Kengyo's mansion where Segawa (Fuka Koshiba) is staying... and so the story unfolds.
