Ado said that she first encountered Kitaro in her childhood and was such a big fan that she would constantly look at the yokai encyclopedia. She said, "I loved Kitaro and the yokai so much that every time I heard the clanging sound of geta, I would scream that Kitaro and the others had come to pick me up! Now that I'm an adult, I'm truly honored to be able to sing ' GeGeGe no Kitaro.' I'll do my best to sing it." A collaborative visual of Ado and Kitaro, drawn by ORIHARA, Ado's image director, was also released.
The selection of masterpieces, "GeGeGe no Kitaro : My Favorite GeGeGe Characters," will air favorite episodes selected by the stellar cast of voice actors who have played the various versions of Kitaro, including Masako Nozawa, Toda Keiko, Minami Takayama, Takayama Minami, and Miyuki Sawashiro.
Ado also got to choose her favorite episode, and when asked about her memories of "GeGeGe no Kitaro," she commented, "I learned from GeGeGe no Kitaro that monsters are not only scary, but can also be kind and protect humans. She was delighted, saying, "Even now that I'm an adult, I remember the time when I was fascinated by monsters. I will treasure the opportunity to be involved in this GeGeGe no Kitaro production for the rest of my life." The series will air every Sunday at 9 a.m. on Fuji TV and other channels from April 6th.
