It has been announced that the TV anime "Rock wa Lady no Tashinamideshite", based on the manga by Hiroshi Fukuda currently being serialized in the manga magazine "Young Animal" (Hakusensha), will be broadcast nationwide on 28 TBS affiliates at 11:56 pm every Thursday starting April 3rd. The main visual has been released, showing the main characters Suzunomiya Ririsa and Kurogane Otoha playing rock music vigorously on the magnificent dance floor of Sakuragokoro Girls' Academy.
Additional cast members have been announced, including Fukuhara Ayaka as Isemi Tina, a student at Sakuragokoro Girls' Academy, and Natsumi Fujiwara as Shiraya Tamaki, Otoha's childhood friend who attends Sakuragokoro Girls' Academy's sister school, Kuroyuri Girls' Academy.
The theme song artists were also announced, with the band "BAND-MAID" performing the opening theme "Ready to Rock" and the female vocal group "Little Glee Monster" performing the ending theme "If It's Not a Dream, What is It?". The main PV was released on YouTube, and the songs were unveiled.
Fukuhara, who plays Insemi Tina, commented, "Tina is beautiful, cool and very cute. I jumped for joy when I heard that I passed the audition! A rock lady with a hot story and cool music, it's a great anime that will cheer up everyone! Please look forward to it!"
Fujiwara, who plays Shiraya Tamaki, said, "Despite being a young lady, the character utters some very impactful words and it was a really fun series to watch, so I was really hoping to get the chance to play the role, and I am incredibly happy to have had the opportunity. I think the anime adaptation has made it even more exciting, so I hope you'll look forward to it! Thank you very much!"

"Rock wa Lady no Tashinamideshite" is a manga by Fukuda, who is known for "The World in 5 Minutes" and "Tojo Senjin!! Mushibugyo", and began serialization in "Young Animal" in October 2022. It is a youth story with the theme of "young lady x rock". Suzunomiya Ririsa, a former commoner and former rock girl who became super rich after her mother remarried and was forced to live a cramped life, abandoning her guitar and her own feelings in order to behave like a young lady at her school, meets Kurogane Otoha, a highly skilled young lady drummer who attends the same school, and rekindles her love for rock and begins to enjoy band activities.
The anime will be directed by Shinya Watada and produced by BN Pictures, with voice actors Akira Sekine and Miyuri Shimabukuro playing the roles of Ririsa Suzunomiya and Otoha Kurogane respectively.
