Actor Takashi Sasano will appear on the BS12 TwellV program "Tsurube-chan and Sawako-chan: The Showa Era's Great Senpai and the Strange Two," which will be broadcast from 9:00 pm on March 3rd. Sasano, who was born on Awaji Island as the youngest of four siblings, is now 76 years old. He will talk about the birth of "movie actor Takashi Sasano" and the behind-the-scenes story of "Otoko wa Tsurai yo."
The program is a talk variety show hosted by Rakugo performer Shofutei Tsurube and essayist Agawa Sawako, and began in October last year. Tsurube, who has 52 years of showbiz experience, and Agawa, who has 40 years of showbiz experience, are called "Tsurube-chan" and "Sawako-chan," and are "great seniors of the Showa era." They appear as guests in each episode.
On this day's program, Tsurube and Agawa will recreate a scene from the film "35th Year Love Letter," in which Tsurube stars, set in Nara Park in Nara City.
Studio guest Sasano-san is an old friend of Tsurube-san and also appeared in this movie. In the second half of the program, a message from Daiki Shigeoka, who co-starred with Sasano-san and Tsurube-san in the movie, will also be released.
