It has been revealed that a campaign will be held to commemorate the release of the latest movie version of Oshiri Tantei, an anime based on Troll's picture book, Oshiri Tantei Detective: Star and Moon (directed by Shibata Hiroki) on March 20th. The first campaign, "Celebrating the release of the movie and the simultaneous release of two original books! Pirate U special feature," will feature 10 popular episodes featuring the popular character Pirate U, which will be released on YouTube from March 1st.
The original author, Troll, commented, "Phantom Detective U is a phantom thief who is skilled at disguise himself. This is fully displayed in the anime. The most surprising was Belion, who appears in episodes 77 and 78. Oops, maybe that wasn't Pirate U's disguise. Who was disguised as who? Take this opportunity to see for yourself. In this way, we received many surprises from the animation staff, which have become inspiration and encouragement for us in the production of Troll. I hope that Oshiri Tantei and Pirate U will be active in the anime for many years to come."
Major e-book stores will be running a campaign to increase the number of sample pages of the original work, "Movie Release Commemoration ☆ Oshiri Tantei File Sample Page Increase Campaign," from March 1st to April 30th.
The covers of the original novel's latest volumes, "Oshiri Tantei Taikentsu! Pirate Academy Starside" and "Oshiri Tantei Taikentsu! Pirate Academy Moonside" (Poplar Publishing), which will be released on March 19th, have also been revealed.
"Oshiri Tantei" is based on a popular picture book that has sold over 30 million copies worldwide. The great detective Oshiri Tantei Detective, whose face resembles a butt, solves difficult cases with his catchphrase, "Hmm, it smells." The TV anime is broadcast every Saturday at 9:00 a.m. on NHK Educational TV.
