Shinkalion:10th anniversary project begins, all previous E5 Hayabusa models gather, toys also on sale

It has been revealed that the 10th anniversary project of "Shinkalion", a project in which a Shinkansen transforms into a robot, will be launched. To commemorate the 10th anniversary, a visual featuring all the previous E5 Hayabusa trains has been released.

Based on the transformation mechanism of "Shinkalion: Change the World", toys of Shinkalion E5 Hayabusa from the first TV anime series and Shinkalion Z E5 Yamanote from the second TV anime series will be released this summer. By combining it with the E5 Hayabusa from "Shinkalion Change the World", it will be possible to combine the three E5 Hayabusas from the past into a dream three-car combination.

It was also announced that the Bandai Spirits "Soul of Chogokin" series will release the "Soul of Chogokin Shinkansen Transforming Robot Shinkalion E5 Hayabusa." The realistic Shinkansen form allows for transformation and combination without the need for parts replacement.

It was also revealed that a collaboration between Shinkalion and Hajime Miku, a character from the anime series Shinkalion, will take place in the Metamorphoses series of Takara Tomy's adult hobby label T-SPARK.

On May 4th, a special talk event will be held at TAKANAWA GATEWAY CITY (Minato Ward, Tokyo) to celebrate the 10th anniversary, entitled "SHINKALION 10th Anniversary Special Talk - Shinkalion and the Future of Anime." Cast members and staff will be on stage, and on May 3rd, there will also be a screening of the film "Shinkansen Henkei Robo Shinkalion: The Lightning-Fast ALFA-X from the Future."

The "Shinkalion" series is a content created by JR East Planning, Shogakukan Shueisha Productions, and Takara Tomy, in which bullet trains transform into robots and fight. The TV anime "Shinkansen Henkei Robo Shinkalion" aired from January 2018 to June 2019, and the movie "Shinkansen Henkei Robo Shinkalion: The Lightning-Speed ALFA-X That Came From the Future" was released in December of the same year. The TV anime sequel "Shinkansen Henkei Robo Shinkalion Z" was then aired from April 2021 to March 2022. "Shinkalion: Change the World" aired from April 2024 to February 2025.
