It has been announced that the movie version of "Haikyu!! The Movie : Haikyu!! the Movie: Decisive Battle at the Garbage Dump!!," a popular volleyball manga by Haruichi Furudate, will be available for unlimited viewing on various video streaming services from March 3rd.
The film is a sequel to the Karasuno High School vs. Inarizaki High School match depicted in the fourth season of the TV anime, and the popular battle between Karasuno High School and Nekoma High School, "The Battle at the Garbage Dump," from the original work, was made into a movie. It was released on February 16, 2024, and was a huge hit, grossing over 20 billion yen worldwide.
"Haikyu!!" was serialized in "Weekly Shonen Jump" (Shueisha) from February 2012 to July 2020. The story follows Hinata Shoyo, who suffered a crushing defeat in his final official match in middle school, as he reunites with Kageyama Tobio, a member of the opposing team, at the Karasuno High School volleyball team, where they move on to higher education, and the two of them aim to reach the top together. The series has sold over 70 million copies in total.
