It has been announced that Furuhata Ai and Ai Kayano Ai will be appearing as voice actors in the TV anime " Chuzenji-sensei Mononoke Kogiroku, " which is based on a spin-off manga that depicts the prequel to Kyogoku Natsuhiko's popular novel "Night Parade of One Hundred Demons Series." Furuhata will play Nakazenji Akihiko's younger sister, Nakazenji Atsuko, and Kayano will play Nakazenji Akihiko's wife, Nakazenji Chizuko. It was also announced that composer Shunryu's music project "Sizuk" will be in charge of the ending theme "Kimi no Shiranai Koto (Things You Don't Know)."
Furuhat commented, "Each story is a mix of school, supernatural happenings, and mystery, and is extremely interesting and worth watching. I hope everyone enjoys watching the brothers' brilliant puzzle-solving skills."
Kayano said, "School x Supernatural x Mystery is such an intriguing combination of words...! I'm looking forward to it airing and my heart is filled with anticipation! I would be happy if I have been able to add some color to the series as Chizuko. It will start airing in April. Be sure to tune in!"
The manga, illustrated by Aki Shimizu and written by Hanzō Tamura, began serialization in 2019 in Shonen Magazine Edge (Kodansha, currently out of print) and moved to the web manga service Comic Days (Kodansha) in 2023. It is a prequel to the series, depicting the time when Kyogokudō, otherwise known as Akihiko Nakazenji, from the "Night Parade of One Hundred Demons" series, was a high school teacher, and depicts female student Kana Kusakabe and Akihiko Nakazenji facing various incidents related to supernatural phenomena.
The anime will be directed by Chihiro Kumano and produced by 100studio. Kaori Maeda will play the main character, a female student named Kana Kusakabe, and Katsuyuki Konishi will play Akihiko Nakazenji. It will be broadcast on TV Tokyo, BS TV Tokyo, and AT-X from April.
