It has been announced that former top star of the Star Troupe, Reon Yuzuki, will be the narrator for the WOWOW original program "Takarazuka Premiere" (WOWOW Prime, 4:30 pm), which will be broadcast on January 26th. This will be the first time in about six years that Yuzuki has acted as the narrator for a program, since the 2016 and April 2019 broadcasts.
The January 26th broadcast will feature the retirement performance of Cosmos troupe top star Serika Toa, "Takarazuka 110 Years of Love Song" and "Razzle Dazzle."
Yuzuki joined the Takarazuka Revue Company in 1999 as a member of the 85th class, and made her debut in the Yuki Troupe's "Reunion/Nova Bossa Nova." In the following Newcomer Performance, she was selected for a role considered the gateway to stardom, and her outstanding skills and expressiveness drew attention. She went on to star in five consecutive Newcomer Performances, eventually becoming the top star.
In 2014, she held a concert at the Nippon Budokan for the second time in 16 years, since former Hanagumi top star Maya Miki. After that, she continued to play an active role as a top supporting the 100th anniversary of Takarazuka Revue. In 2015, she left the Takarazuka Revue. Since leaving the company, she has been active mainly on stage.
Yuzuki commented, "This time, I will be narrating 'Takarazuka Premiere' for the first time in a long while. Last December, I was reunited with everyone who was with me in the 100th anniversary performance of 'RUNWAY' for the first time in about 10 years, and I was able to feel the bond that is Takarazuka once again. This is the first 'Takarazuka Premiere' of 2025, and on a personal note, this year marks 10 years since I left Takarazuka. I am excited to once again be able to talk about Takarazuka through this program, and I will be narrating with all my heart and with all my feelings."
