It has been announced that the second season of the TV anime "Wistoria of the Staff and Sword," based on the manga by Fujino Omori, known for the popular light novel "Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon (DanMachi)," will be produced. A commemorative illustration drawn by Aoi Sei, who is in charge of the illustrations of the original manga, was also released.

"Wistoria of the Staff and Sword" is written by Omori and illustrated by Aoi, and has been serialized in "Bessatsu Shonen Magazine" (Kodansha) since December 2020. Set in a world where magic is supreme, the story depicts a boy named Will, who cannot use magic at all, enrolling in a magic academy and fighting his way through despite being discouraged by the cold stares of those around him.

Kohei Amasaki will play Will, and Akira Sekine will play Will's childhood friend Elfaria Alvis Serforce, known as the "secluded ice princess." The series will be directed by Tatsuya Yoshihara, who was the action director for "Chainsaw Man," and produced by Actas and Bandai Namco Pictures. The first season of the TV anime began airing on TBS in July, and the final episode aired on September 29th with the 12th episode.
