To commemorate the release of the Blu-ray Disc (BD) box set of the TV anime "Kirarin☆Revolution," based on the manga by Nakahara An that was serialized in "Ciao" (Shogakukan), it has been announced that the 28th episode of the TV anime, "Nanana! Na-san☆Revolution!!," will be broadcast as a special episode on TOKYO MX from 10pm on October 3rd.
In episode 28, "Nanana! Na-san☆Revolution!!," in the middle of rehearsals for Kirari's first concert, Na-san, who wants to become popular, ends up taking part in the "First Tenkaichi Star Audition," which has no eligibility requirements. The story follows Na-san, who begins intensive training for the audition that is 10 billion percent guaranteed to make her a star, and Kirari, who works hard for her first concert.
The BD box set will be released to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the original manga's serialization. The DVD will feature high-rate SD (480i) quality footage digitally remastered from the original masters of all 102 episodes of "Kirarin☆Revolution" and all 51 episodes of "Kirarin☆Revolution STAGE3". The DVD will be released in three volumes, with the first volume on November 27th, the second volume on December 25th, and the third volume on January 29th, 2025. Each volume will be priced at 29,700 yen. Visuals of special bonuses for each store have also been released.
Kirarin☆Revolution is about a beautiful middle school girl, Tsukishima Kirari, who overcomes hardships to become a top idol after she finds out that the boy she fell in love with at first sight is a member of a popular idol group. The TV anime aired from 2006 to 2009. At the time, Tsukishima Kirari was voiced by Kusumi Koharu, who was a member of the idol group Morning Musume.
