It has been announced that the TV anime "Shangri-La Frontier," based on a manga currently being serialized in "Weekly Shonen Magazine" (Kodansha), will be exhibited at "Tokyo Game Show 2024," Japan's largest game exhibition, to be held at Makuhari Messe (Mihama-ku, Chiba City) from September 26th to 29th. This will be the second time the series has exhibited at the Tokyo Game Show, following last year, and the booth will feature Sunraku balloons, as well as a greeting session featuring mascots and cosplayers of Sunraku, Saiga-0, Arthur Pencilgon, and Emuru. Sunraku sun visors and a sample booklet for the first volume of the comic will also be distributed.

In response to the second season of the TV anime being broadcast from October 13th, it was also announced that a live-streamed special program featuring the voice actors will be streamed on YouTube from 8pm on September 12th. The cast will include Uchida Yuuma as Sanraku/Hiyori Rakuro, Hikasa Yoko as Arthur Pencilgon/Amane Towa, Koichi Makoto as Oikaczo/Uoomi Kei, and Hidaka Rina as Emul.

The series is a comic adaptation of a popular light novel from the novel submission site "Let's Become a Novelist." The story is about a gamer named Hisori Rakuro who loves crappy games, and who challenges the legendary game "Shangri-La Frontier" with 30 million players. The series began serialization in July 2020 in "Weekly Shonen Magazine."

The first season of the TV anime aired from October 2023 to March 2024 on the MBS/TBS Sunday 5pm anime slot "Nichi 5." The second season will air on Nichi 5 from October 13th.
