The song order for the 75th NHK Kohaku Uta Gassen(General TV and others), which will be broadcast on New Year's Eve, was announced on December 26th. For the seventh consecutive year, MISIA will close the Red Team, singing "Everything" and "Aino Katachi" as part of the "MISIA Special." Popular band Mrs. GREEN APPLE will close the White Team for the first time, singing "GOOD DAY."
The opening song was a large-scale medley of eight songs titled "100 Years of Broadcasting Red and White Special Medley," featuring popular artists such as Mrs., King & Prince, and HANA. CANDY TUNE from the Red Team kicked off the show with "Double Fight!"
The theme of the 76th NHK Kohaku Uta Gassen is "Connecting, Connecting, New Year's Eve," and it will be hosted by Hiroiki Ariyoshi, Haruka Ayase, Mio Imada, and announcer Naoko Suzuki. It will be broadcast from 7:20 pm to 11:45 pm on December 31st (with some news breaks).
