The 41st episode of the NHK Taiga drama " UNBOUND (Berabou) " (General TV, Sunday 8pm and others), starring actor Ryusei Yokohama , entitled "Utamaro's Large-Headed Beauty Painting", was broadcast on October 26th, and talent Nakayama Hideyuki made his first appearance as Kato Chikage.
" UNBOUND (Berabou)" is the 64th taiga drama and depicts the life of Tsutaya Juzaburo(or "Tsutajyu" for short), who is said to have laid the foundations for Japan's media industry and pop culture. The script was written by Yoshiko Morishita, who is known for her work on the highly talked-about "Drama 10: Ooku," which aired on NHK two years ago.
In episode 41, Tsutaju visits the punished Suharaya (Kotaro Satomi), who tells him that he will retire and hand over the business to the next generation. Tsutaju then ponders with Utamaro (played by Shota Sometani) how to market "The Ten Body Physiognomy of Women." Meanwhile, something strange happens to Tsuyo (played by Saki Takaoka).
Meanwhile, in the castle, Ienari's (Jo Kairi) eldest son, Takechiyo, is born. At the celebration, Sadanobu (Inoue Yuki) suddenly requests to resign from his position as assistant to the shogun and as a retainer of the inner palace. Ienari and Harumasa (Ikuta Toma) are shaken, but...
Nakayama plays Kato Chikage, a calligrapher and Japanese scholar who is visited by Tsutaju and Tei (AI Hashimoto Ai). When Tei tells him that he is "everyone's idol," Nakayama responds, "I'm idolized? No, I'm embarrassed," and there is a scene where Nakayama delivers his lines in a deep voice.
This is Nakayama's first appearance in a taiga drama. Viewers have responded on social media with comments such as, "It's Hide-chan!", "Is this Nakayama Hideyuki? The atmosphere has changed," "That's strange. He has weight," "The Silent Don," "Shuichi at night," and "He seems like a Japanese scholar who is used to hanging out in Zagin." Comments about his low voice also included, "Shuichi, is he lowering his voice?", "Hide-chan has a great voice," "Nakayama Hide has a great voice too," and "You have a great voice, Hide-chan!"
