The second episode of the fifth season of the TV drama series " Emergency Interrogation Room " (TV Asahi, Thursdays at 9pm), starring Yuki Amami, will be broadcast on October 23rd. This is the second half of the first episode.
Following the murder of two executives in charge of a government-backed redevelopment project, the case also saw the murder of Isogai Shingo ( Koji Yamamoto ), the father of popular Caster Kuramochi Masato (Koji Yamamoto), who had provoked the perpetrator on his TV show.
After questioning, Yukiko Makabe (Amami) and the "Emergency Incident Response Investigation Team (commonly known as Kintori)" succeed in extracting a confession from the "real culprit." However, he denies murdering Isogai.
Kuramochi's wife, Ritsuko (Wakamura Mayumi), who is separated from him, makes a shocking statement: "I killed Kuramochi's father. My husband knows that too."
In order to uncover the truth as quickly as possible, the Kintori members go to question the Kuramochi couple. Kuramochi continues to skillfully dodge Kintori's pressure, but the moment he hears that Ritsuko has admitted to the crime, he is surprised and confused, as if he really knew nothing.
Ritsuko presents new evidence that supports her guilt and begins to discuss her motive with a deep sense of despair.
The testimonies are endlessly contradictory. As the interrogation continues with no end in sight, Yukiko makes a suggestion. The simultaneous questioning develops into an unimaginable life-or-death battle...!?
The popular series follows the Metropolitan Police Department's Emergency Response Investigation Unit, led by Amami-san's veteran interrogator Yukiko Makabe, as they engage in a back-and-forth psychological battle with violent criminals. The series began in 2014 and will conclude with the theatrical release of " Emergency Interrogation Room THE FINAL" on December 26th.
