It has been announced that Takara Tomy's Plarail railway toy and toys commemorating the 30th anniversary of the TV broadcast of the popular anime series Evangelion will be released on December 6th. The lineup includes the "Plarail 'Evangelion: 1.0 You Are (Not) Alone' NERV Private Railway Shimonikoyama Branch Line 'Operation Yashima' DD51 & Shiki 880 (B2 Beam) Heavy-Duty Car" (4,950 yen) and the "Shinkalion CW Shinkalion 500 TYPE EVA Positron Form" (7,290 yen), which are based on the vehicles and weapons that appear in "Operation Yashima" from "Evangelion: 1.0 You Are (Not) Alone."
"Operation Yashima DD51 & Shiki 880" is a Plarail set that recreates the DD51 and Shiki 880 that appear in the anime in a three-car formation. "Shinkalion CW Shinkalion 500 TYPE EVA Positron Form" is a set that includes the Shinkalion 500 TYPE EVA, developed based on combat data from Operation Yashima, and the Elda Positron Rifle, a support vehicle with a positron motif. The outdoor 275kV ultra-high voltage standard transformer that comes with "Operation Yashima DD51 & Shiki 880" can be mounted on the back of the Shinkalion, allowing for interoperability.
As a collaboration product with "Tomica," a miniature model of the NERV official car, "Tomica Premium Unlimited 04 'Evangelion: New Theatrical Edition' NERV Official Car Mazda Cosmo Sport" (1,320 yen) will be released in mid-December.
