The first episode of the drama series "Shumaku no Rondo" (Kantele/Fuji TV, Mondays at 10pm), starring Tsuyoshi Kusanagi, aired on October 13th. A line spoken by Kusanagi's character, Torikai Itsuki, a single father who has lost his wife and is in charge of sorting out his belongings, became a hot topic among viewers.

The drama is a human drama in which Torikai Itsuki, an estate organizer who is raising his young son alone, and his colleagues at the estate organizer company support families with various circumstances.
Itsuki, who lost his wife five years ago, was busy working as a trading company employee. To get a quote for organizing his affairs, he visits the home of Ayukawa Koharu (Jun Fubuki), who works for a cleaning company, and learns that Koharu has recently been told she has only three months to live.
Just then, Koharu's daughter, picture book author Mikuriya Makoto (Nakamura Yuri), arrives. Makoto, unaware of Koharu's condition, doesn't offer kind words; instead, she has come to look for an art book to use in her next book. Koharu doesn't say anything about her remaining life expectancy, but instead tells Makoto to go home immediately.
When Itsuki returns to the office with Koharu's art book and other items, Makoto comes and asks for the book back. As Itsuki and Makoto fight over it, the book falls to the floor.
This triggered a flashback for Itsuki to the moment just before his wife died. Looking into Makoto's face, he told her, "Someone who was waiting for you yesterday may not be waiting for you tomorrow. Please take good care of your mother." Thinking about his wife, Itsuki burst into tears and said, "I'm sorry."
On social media, people were talking about how "Tsuyopon's drama had me in tears," "Tsuyopon's dramas are always great," "Kusanagi-kun's acting is as amazing as ever," "I thought that only Kusanagi Tsuyoshi could express such a sad expression with such a gentle smile," and "'Someone who was waiting for you yesterday may not be waiting for you today.' Those words really struck a chord. It's a miracle and something to be grateful for that they can be together like this now."
