Summary of Episode 8 of the drama "The Kidnapping Day"

The eighth episode of the TV drama "The Kidnapping Day " (TV Asahi, Tuesdays at 9pm), starring actor Saito Takumi, will be broadcast on August 26th.

Masamune (Saito) discovers security camera footage missing from the murder scene of Rin's ( Yuno Nagao ) parents in his wife Shiori's ( Yumi Adachi ) room. The footage shows Shiori visiting the Nanase home, the murder scene, a week before the incident.

Rin is being taken to Singapore by Samezu (Ei Shin), a subordinate of Kevin Fukuzumi (Kosuke Suzuki), the head of the Japanese branch of the investment company Z Capitals. Just before the departure, Rin eats an egg, an ingredient to which she is allergic, and escapes from the hospital where she is taken.

Masamune and Rin plead with Detective Sunouchi (Eguchi Yosuke) for help until the series of incidents settles down. Sunouchi agrees and decides to hide the two in his home. As they sort out the case, they come across a "certain possibility."

Eventually, Rin regains her memories of the day of the incident, and Masamune also begins to recall horrible memories from the past. Meanwhile, Masamune finds himself in a desperate situation. Just before the final episode, will the "fake father-son buddy" have a tearful farewell?

The original work is a 2023 Korean drama of the same name that became a hot topic. This mystery follows Shinjo Masamune, who becomes a kidnapper to pay for his daughter's heart surgery, and Nanase Rin, a genius girl with amnesia whose parents were murdered, as they evade the pursuit of mysterious men and uncover the truth behind the murder.
