It has been revealed that the "Haikyu!! ~Tokyo Expedition 2013 Summer~" Acrylic Panel & Character Clear Card, which uses an original illustration from Furudate Haruichi's popular volleyball manga "Haikyu!!", will be included as an appendix to "Jump GIGA 2024 AUTUMN", a special edition of "Weekly Shonen Jump" (Shueisha), which goes on sale on November 15th. Furudate has drawn a scene from the "2013 Tokyo Expedition" when Hinata Shoyo, Kageyama Tobio and others were in their second year of high school, a scene not featured in the main story.
The original illustration features Hinata and Kageyama, as well as Tsukishima Kei, Yamaguchi Tadashi, Kuroo Tetsuro and Kozume Kenma. The acrylic panel is approximately 19.6 cm wide and 14.7 cm high. The character clear cards will be designed so that each of the six characters can be torn off.
Furudate will appear in the third installment of the magazine's series "Special Author 'GIGA' Interview!! LEGEND INTERVIEW GUIDANCE", which features legendary authors. He will talk about the journey that led to the serialization of "Haikyu!!" and his commitment to character design.
Purchasers of the print version of "Jump GIGA 2024 AUTUMN" and those who subscribe to the "Weekly Shonen Jump" regular subscription service will be able to purchase goods using the original illustrations online. The lineup will include a set of six can badges (2,640 yen), a three-piece set of a postcard, an A4 clear file, and an A3 clear poster (1,540 yen).
"Haikyu!!" was serialized in "Weekly Shonen Jump" (Shueisha) from February 2012 to July 2020. The story depicts Hinata Shoyo, who suffered a crushing defeat in his final official match in junior high school, reuniting with Kageyama Tobio, a member of the opposing team, at the Karasuno High School volleyball club where he will attend, and the two of them aiming for the top. The series has sold over 60 million copies in total.
The first season of the TV anime aired from April to September 2014, the second from October 2015 to March 2016, the third from October to December 2016, and the first cour of the fourth season from January to April 2020 and the second cour from October to December of the same year. "Haikyu!! The Movie: Battle at the Garbage Dump" was released on February 16th and was a huge hit, grossing over 20 billion yen worldwide.
