Actor Nanao, who turned 36 on October 28, was celebrated with a special cake on the set of the TV Asahi drama "Munou no Taka" (Fridays at 11:15 p.m., excluding some regions), in which she stars.
Four days before her birthday, during filming, her partner in the drama, Akihisa Shiono, brought in a "Munou no Taka cake" decorated with the drama's logo and 3D chocolate with a hawk motif, and held a surprise birthday party.
When asked about her aspirations for turning 36, Nanao reflected on the past year, saying, "I never thought I'd be playing the role of a new employee at 35 (laughs)," and added enthusiastically, "I'll continue to be incompetent, but I'll do my best in my own way!". Photos of the birthday party will be posted on the show's official SNS.
The drama is a live-action adaptation of Hanzaki Asami's manga (Kodansha). This is a "relaxed work comedy" that depicts the refreshing lifestyle of Takano (Nanao), a new employee who looks competent but is completely incompetent at her job. The number of views of the first episode (broadcast on October 11th) on catch-up streaming exceeded 2 million in one week, breaking the all-time record for the first episode of the Friday Night Drama broadcast slot, and has become a hot topic. Episodes 1 to 3 are currently available for free streaming on TVer. A digest video of episodes 1 to 3 has also been released.
