The Delta Plus, on which the Delta Zain is based, is a mass-produced prototype transformable mobile suit that appears in Mobile Suit Gundam UC (Unicorn), and is a redesign of the Delta Gundam. The Delta Gundam is a transformable mobile suit that is said to be the initial development plan for the Hyaku Shiki, but it is a "phantom machine" whose development was halted due to issues with the frame strength.
