It has been announced that starting in December, WOWOW will broadcast a 12-month consecutive special to commemorate the 45th anniversary of singer and actor Tahara Toshihiko's debut.
Tahara made his acting debut in the 1979 drama "3-nen B-gumi Kinpachi Sensei" and his singing debut the following June with the single "Aishuu Deito". He has since been active in a wide range of roles as a singer and actor.
The first special will be in December, and will feature his latest live performance in his hometown of Yamanashi from his 45th anniversary tour, which will be broadcast and streamed on WOWOW Cinema and WOWOW On Demand from 9pm on the 29th.
Then, from January to March 2025, they will broadcast his 25th anniversary performance from his debut in 2003, his 30th anniversary performance from 2009, and his 33rd anniversary performance from 2012. In addition to live performances, the lineup will include footage from the group's activities over the past five years, such as their performance at Kishidan Expo 2019, interviews, and a special WOWOW program with in-depth footage that takes a look behind the scenes at their live shows.
