The 38th episode of the NHK Taiga drama "BROTHERS IN ARMS （Toyotomi Brothers!）", starring actor Taiga Nakano (NHK General, Sundays at 8 PM, etc.), titled "Harmony Creates Yamato," will air on October 4th. In this episode, Saizo, played by Shotaro Mamiya, will make his first appearance.
Saizo is the owner of a brush shop. He is skilled at making brushes and originally had a shop in Nara, but with a certain resolve, he starts a new business in Yamato-Koriyama. The drama's official social media accounts introduce him as the "key person of episode 38".
This will be Mamiya's second appearance in a Taiga drama, playing the role of Saizo, and his first in six years since "Kirin ga Kuru" (2020).
"BROTHERS IN ARMS （Toyotomi Brothers!）" is the 65th Taiga drama. With Toyotomi Hidenaga (Koichiro) as the protagonist, it depicts the miraculous feat of unifying Japan together with his older brother Hideyoshi (Tokichiro) through their strong bond, a success story of dreams and hopes.
The script is written by Hiroyuki Yatsu, known for his work on "Hanzawa Naoki" (TBS) and the Asadora drama series "Ochoyan." The music is composed by Hideaki Kimura, and the narration is provided by actress Sakura Ando.
