Talent Imoto Ayako appeared at the "FUJI DRAMA COLORS 2026 AUTUMN" event held in Tokyo on October 3rd, where cast members of Fuji TV's October dramas were in attendance.
Imoto will star in the Tokai TV/Fuji TV drama series "Saisei no Uzume" (Saturdays at 11:40 PM), which starts on October 3rd. She will play Tamura Uzume, a woman who continues to live as a recluse at her parents' home after a certain incident.
Imoto, who is starring in a TV drama series for the first time, began her greeting by jokingly saying, "I'm so grateful to be invited to such a glamorous set today... I've done all sorts of jobs, but today feels the most comfortable! I feel like this is the place. This is where I belong," which drew laughter from the audience.
When asked about his impression of Imoto as an actress, co-star Jin Shirasu replied, "She really delivers emotionally moving performances. She's truly sincere about acting. She carries a notebook with her, and whenever she has a chance, she's concentrating." He added, "As a leading actress, she really leads the set with her acting. I'm truly grateful," to which Imoto responded with a strong "Thank you!"
Finally, Imoto revealed her positive impression, saying, "I got to see the first episode ahead of time, and it was incredibly interesting." She concluded by appealing to viewers, "The theme is a little heavy in some parts, but the whole team is working together, clumsily but diligently, to bring a ray of hope to the viewers, so I would be happy if you could see that."
The drama is based on the manga of the same name by Kirin Tendou, which is serialized in "FEEL YOUNG" (Shodensha). Tamura Uzume aspired to be a stage actor in a theater troupe until she was 28, but after a certain incident, she became a recluse for 12 years. Uzume meets Kōrogi (Jin Shirasu), the owner of the handyman service "Kyu-chan," and starts working for the service. Through encounters with various people, she starts moving her stagnant life back into motion...
