Actress Kyoko Yoshine appeared at the "FUJI DRAMA COLORS 2026 AUTUMN" event held in Tokyo on October 3rd, which featured cast members from Fuji TV's October dramas.
Yoshine will star in the sequel to the TV drama series "A Calm Sea and Beautiful Days with You" (Thursdays at 10 PM), which will begin airing on October 15th, playing the main character, Natsumi Ebata.
Yoshine explained, "The previous series was about the two becoming husband and wife, but this time it's about what happens after they become husband and wife, so even though it's only episode 1, it feels like episode 11... I hope you'll enjoy a more powerful Meoto Biyori, with 100% love from the very first episode, and a deeper bond between them."
When asked about the highlights, Yoshine said, "I think we can deliver the same 'innocent and heart-fluttering' feeling as in the previous work. Episode 1 is packed with the happy everyday life of the two of them," and added, "I think we can deliver a lot of different kinds of 'innocent and heart-fluttering' feelings throughout all the episodes, so I would be happy if you could feel the excitement."
The drama is based on the manga of the same name by Nishika Hachi, which is serialized on Kodansha's manga app "Comic DAYS". The previous series, which aired last year, depicted the love story that began with the married life of Ebata Natsumi, who got married in 1936 after a marriage proposal came her way and they got married "zero days after dating", and Ebata Takimasa (played by Honda Kyoya), a lieutenant in the Imperial Japanese Navy.
At the "FUJI DRAMA COLORS 2026 AUTUMN" event, attendees included Yosuke Eguchi and Nanako Matsushima from the Getsuku drama "Emergency Room 24 Hours" (Mondays at 9pm), Mana Ashida and Nanako Matsushima from "Bengoshi Minamida is a Genius" (Mondays at 10pm), Fumiya Takahashi and Lee Joon-gi from "kiDnap GAME" (Tuesdays at 9pm), Satomi Ishihara and Atsuro Watabe Watabe from "Political Pan" (Wednesdays at 10pm), Kyoko Yoshine and Kyoya Honda from " A Calm Sea and Beautiful Days with You " (Thursdays at 10pm), and Ayako Imoto and Jin Shirasu from "Rebirth of Uzume" (Saturdays at 11:40pm).
