The synopsis and still images for the ninth episode of the drama series "Last Note" (Fuji TV, Thursdays at 10 PM), starring actress Yuki Uchida and Takuto Teranishi of the popular group "timelesz," which will air on September 3rd, have been released.
Aoi Ichise (played by Uchida) and Sumiharu Higuchi (played by Teranishi) were on the verge of losing sight of their relationship due to what others were saying, but they reaffirmed their vows to believe in each other and in themselves.
Sumiharu decides to enter a painting competition, and Aoi develops a sense of smell for flowers. With a ray of hope shining on both of their lives, Sumiharu suggests they go on a trip once things settle down. Meanwhile, Higuchi Masumi (Kuranosuke Sasaki) is hospitalized in a hospice ward. Sagawa Yuko (Maki Sakai), who knows about this, says that she should tell Sumiharu, but Masumi refuses.
Ryuta Hirano (Takuya Kusakawa) is working hard at his job search, but it's not going well. Ryuta confides in Sumiharu that he has someone he likes and says he plans to confess his feelings to her once he gets a job. Meanwhile, Rina Kijima (Hinako Sakurai) regrets going to Aoi's company on impulse and is thinking about what Ryuta said to her.
At the fragrance manufacturer where Aoi works, a project to launch a new brand was underway. Hirasawa Kozue (played by Nakajima Arisa), Aoi's junior from her days as a perfumer, proposes a prototype, but receives harsh criticism at a meeting. Aoi gently comforts the dejected Kozue.
Meanwhile, Aoi undergoes a olfactory test at the hospital. The doctor tells her that she can now definitely smell flowers, and Aoi smiles. After the examination, she coincidentally spots Yuko in the hallway and follows her, only to learn that Masumi is hospitalized...
The drama is the latest work from producer Reiko Misao, who previously worked on "Hirugao: Love Affairs in the Afternoon" and "Even If You Don't Do It For Me." The script is written by Tomomi Matoba, who also wrote "Otto yo, shinde kurenai ka?" (TV Tokyo), and depicts the love story of a man and a woman who are completely different in age and the lives they have lived, and whose paths should never have crossed.
