It Ai Mikami that the average weekly viewership rating (calculated from Video Research data, Kanto Juri Kosaka- same applies below) for the 19th week, "Wings of Dawn" (August 3-7), of the NHK Asadora drama series "Kaze,Kaoru" (NHK General, Monday-Saturday 8:00 AM, etc.), starring Ai Mikami and Juri Uesaka, was 13.0% for households and 7.3% for individuals.
"Kaze,Kaoru" is the 114th morning Asadora. Based on the story of two trained nurses, Chika Ozeki and Masa Suzuki, who graduated from the same nursing school, the drama depicts how the two grow through their struggles and clashes with each other in how to interact with patients and doctors, and eventually become the "ultimate buddy" team. Mikami plays the main character, Rin Ichinose, and Uesaka plays the other main character, Naomi Oya.
In week 19, Rin (Mikami) is asked by Kurokawa (Hirano Kisei) to come with him to a village where dysentery has broken out. After much deliberation, she decides to go to the village with Kurokawa and the others.
Rin prepares the environment for the isolation hospital and gives instructions to the nurses. As the number of infected people increases and they are struggling to cope, Naomi (played by Uesaka), who was supposed to have returned to Tokyo, arrives. Rin and Naomi work hard to save as many lives as possible. Eventually, Rin and Naomi's efforts reach the villagers, who become cooperative.
And the condition of Asa (Karen Miyama), the mother of Chotaro (Soraji Shibuya), who was the first to ask for help, also begins to improve.
Rin and Naomi rejoice that the infection has subsided. Rin decides to return to nursing and will work for Kurokawa for a while. Meanwhile, Yokozawa (Yuki Inoue), a newspaper reporter who has been looking out for Rin and had even come to the village to interview her, is transferred to Tokyo and promises to meet Rin again...and so the story unfolds.
