A promotional video for the "Reclamation Arc," the fourth season of the TV anime "Re:Zero," based on the light novels from MF Bunko J (KADOKAWA), has been released on YouTube. The video depicts the struggles of Subaru Natsuki during the previous "Loss Arc," and also offers a glimpse of a new enemy. The "Reclamation Arc" will consist of 8 episodes and will air from August 12th on TOKYO MX, AT-X, and 21 other stations nationwide. Advance stills from episode 78, "The Story of What Comes Next," which will be the first episode of the "Reclamation Arc," have also been released.
In preparation for the broadcast of the "Reclamation Arc," ABEMA will be streaming all episodes with cast commentary starting August 8th. In addition to episodes with commentary from the voice actors, including Rie Takahashi Yusuke Kobayashi ( Subaru Natsuki) , Satomi Arai Takahashi ( Emilia ), Kohei Amasaki ( Beatrice ), Inori Minase Amasaki (Otto Suwen), Inori Minase (Rem), and Minami Takahashi (Theresia van Astrea), all 77 episodes from seasons 1 through 4 ("Loss Arc"), as well as the OVA (Original Video Animation), will be available for free streaming.
The third making-of video, which captures the voice recording process, has also been released on YouTube. It includes footage of Takahashi, who plays Emilia, recording her lines and an interview with her.
"Re:Zero" is based on a light novel series written by Tappei Nagatsuki and illustrated by Shinichiro Otsuka. The story follows Subaru, a high school student who is summoned to another world and gains the ability to rewind time whenever he dies. The original series has sold over 16 million copies.
The first season of the TV anime aired from April to September 2016, the first half of the second season aired from July to September 2020, and the second half aired from January to March 2021. The third season, "Attack Arc," aired from October to November 2024, and "Counterattack Arc" aired from February to March 2025. The fourth season, "Loss Arc," aired from April to June.
