The synopsis and still images for the fifth episode of the drama series "Last Note" (Fuji TV, Thursdays at 10 PM), starring actress Yuki Uchida and Takuto Teranishi of the popular group "timelesz," which will air on August 6th, have been released.
When Aoi Ichise (played by Uchida) was with Sumiharu Higuchi (played by Teranishi), she smelled the scent of flowers again and murmured, "Why is it that I only smell this scent when I'm with you?"
When Sumiharu asked her what was wrong, Aoi confessed that she had lost her sense of smell for over 10 years and explained how it happened. Sumiharu said he would help her regain her sense of smell and then fell asleep at Aoi's house. Aoi gently covered the sleeping Sumiharu with a blanket.
The next morning, when Sumiharu returned home, Kijima Rina (Sakurai Hinako) was waiting for him, up all night, worried. Hirano Ryuta (Kusakawa Takuya), furious at Sumiharu's actions, revealed that Masumi (Sasaki Kuranosuke) had told him that "there's a woman who's infatuated with Sumiharu." Sumiharu then went to Masumi's house...
During a consultation at the psychiatric clinic, Aoi tells the doctor that she only smells the scent of flowers when she's with Sumiharu. The doctor replies, "Perhaps you were with him during the happiest time of your life."
The drama is the latest work from producer Reiko Misao, who previously worked on "Hirugao: Love Affairs in the Afternoon" and "Even If You Don't Do It For Me." The script is written by Tomomi Matoba, who also wrote "Otto yo, shinde kurenai ka?" (TV Tokyo), and depicts the love story of a man and a woman who are completely different in age and the lives they have lived, and whose paths should never have crossed.
