As part of the 10th-anniversary celebration of the anime "The Disastrous Life of Saiki K.", based on the gag manga by Shuichi Aso, it has been announced that episodes 1-5 (episode 1χ) of the first season of the TV anime will be specially rebroadcast on TV Tokyo and its affiliates starting at 9:30 AM on August 15th.
Cartoon Network, an anime-only channel, will broadcast the entire anime series daily starting August 1st. The broadcasts will air daily at 9 AM and 5 PM until August 22nd. A marathon broadcast will take place from August 23rd to 31st. Special programming celebrating character birthdays will air on August 6th and 16th.
The results of the "Ψ Favorite Episode Vote" project, held to commemorate the 10th anniversary, will be announced on August 6th. The top three episodes will be available for free streaming on YouTube from midnight on August 6th.
"The Disastrous Life of Saiki K." was serialized in "Weekly Shonen Jump" (Shueisha) from 2012 to 2018. It depicts the life of Saiki Kusuo, a psychic who tries to live an inconspicuous life, but gets involved in various troubles because of his eccentric friends.
The first season of the TV anime aired from July to December 2016, the second season from January to June 2018, and the "Final Arc" aired in December 2018. "Ψ Reawakened" began streaming on Netflix in December 2019. A live-action film adaptation directed by Yuichi Fukuda and starring Kento Yamazaki was released in 2017, which also garnered attention.
