The third season of the TV anime "Mushoku Shosetsuka ni Naro : Mushoku Tensei," based on the popular light novel that originated on the novel submission site "Shosetsuka ni Narou," will enter the "Mushoku Tensei Rudeus Arc" with episode 3, "The Return of Everyday Life," airing on July 12th. Advance stills featuring Rudeus, Sylphy (Sylphiette), Roxy, and others have been released.
Rudeus takes Roxy as his second wife and begins a peaceful life with his first wife, Sylphiette, daughter Lucy, sister Norn, Aisha, and other family members, and also returns to Lanoa University of Magic. Roxy is also to teach at the university, and as Rudeus introduces her to everyone as his wife, Cliff cannot accept this due to his religious beliefs.
"Mushoku Tensei" is a light novel by Rifujin na Magote, which began serialization on "Shosetsuka ni Naro" in 2012. The story follows a 34-year-old unemployed man who dies but is reborn in a fantasy world of swords and magic, where he uses his intelligence and regrets from his previous life to start a new life. It is a popular work considered a pioneer of "Narou-kei" light novels, and has been published in book form by MF Books (KADOKAWA), with a manga adaptation also being produced. The series has sold over 18 million copies in total.
The first season of the TV anime aired from January to March 2021 (first cour) and from October to December of the same year (second cour), and the high-quality animation produced by Studio Bind, an animation production company established specifically for the series, also became a topic of discussion. The first cour of the second season aired from July to September 2023, and the second cour aired from April to June 2024. The third season is currently airing every Sunday night on TOKYO MX and other channels.
