The animated film " Chiikawa: The Secret of the Mermaid Island," based on Nagano's popular manga " Chiikawa ," has collaborated with Uniqlo's T-shirt brand "UT" to create the " Chiikawa: The Secret of the Mermaid Island UT Collection." Women's T-shirts (1,990 yen each) and children's T-shirts (990 yen) will be released on July 17th. Online sales will begin at 8:15 AM on the same day.
The designs feature Chiikawa and the others wearing grass skirts as they appear in the movie, as well as Siren, a Chiikawa with a tanned, golden-brown complexion, Hachiware, Usagi, and scenes of them exploring in a duck boat.
Gift cards featuring the "Chiikawa" design will also be available for purchase from July 17th. There are two types: a prepaid gift card that can be purchased at Uniqlo stores nationwide, and an eGift Card that can be purchased online and sent via email or social media.
Women's sweatshirts (3,990 yen) and children's sweatshirts (1,990 yen) will be released on July 24th.
