On October 3rd, actress Nanako Matsushima appeared at the "FUJI DRAMA COLORS 2026 AUTUMN" event held in Tokyo, where cast members of Fuji TV's October dramas were in attendance, alongside her co-star Yosuke Eguchi.
Matsushima will play the role of emergency physician Kojima Kaede in the sixth season of the Fuji TV "Getsuku" drama "Emergency Room 24 Hours," which starts on October 12th.
On this day, a segment was also held in which co-stars shared anecdotes from the set. When it was revealed that Matsushima had mistakenly said "To the table first!" instead of "To the bed first!", she explained, "I've never said 'To the bed first!' in the series up until now, so I was thinking, 'The bed first sounds like the table first, like a restaurant...' I was thinking I shouldn't say table, but then the start was called and I ended up saying 'To the table first!'" She gave an embarrassed smile.
Matsushima said, "This is the sixth series, which has been running for over 25 years. I hope this will be an opportunity for you to watch it again from the first series... I think you will enjoy it if you watch it in chronological order, seeing how Kojima Kaede has grown."
He further promoted the drama by saying, "It's a drama that depicts how we face challenges unique to the current era, but we seek advice and help from Dr. Shindo (played by Eguchi), who possesses a strength that remains unchanged in any era, in order to make the medical field even better."
"Emergency Room 24 Hours" is a popular medical drama series that began airing in 1999 and has since produced five regular series and five special dramas. Eguchi, who played the lead role of Issei Shindo in the first four series, and Matsushima, who played the lead role of Kaede Kojima in the first, third, and fifth series, will once again co-star in this sixth series.
At the "FUJI DRAMA COLORS 2026 AUTUMN" event, attendees included Yosuke Eguchi and Nanako Matsushima from the Getsuku drama "Emergency Room 24 Hours" (Mondays at 9pm), Mana Ashida and Nanako Matsushima from "Bengoshi Minamida is a Genius" (Mondays at 10pm), Fumiya Takahashi and Lee Joon-gi from "kiDnap GAME" (Tuesdays at 9pm), Satomi Ishihara and Atsuro Watabe Watabe from "Political Pan" (Wednesdays at 10pm), Kyoko Yoshine and Kyoya Honda from " A Calm Sea and Beautiful Days with You " (Thursdays at 10pm), and Ayako Imoto and Jin Shirasu from "Rebirth of Uzume" (Saturdays at 11:40pm).
