The 30th episode of the NHK Taiga drama "BROTHERS IN ARMS （Toyotomi Brothers!）", starring actor Taiga Nakano (NHK General, Sundays at 8 PM, etc.), titled "Kiyosu Conference," aired on August Getsuku and recorded an average viewership rating (according to Video Research, Kanto region) of 10.4% for households and 5.9% for individuals. This was the first episode of the drama to air in two weeks.
"BROTHERS IN ARMS （Toyotomi Brothers!）" is the 65th Taiga drama. With Toyotomi Hidenaga (Koichiro) as the protagonist, it depicts the miraculous feat of unifying Japan together with his older brother Hideyoshi (Tokichiro) through their strong bond, a success story of dreams and hopes.
In episode 30, Hideyoshi (Sosuke Ikematsu), having resolved to become the ruler of Japan, heads to Kiyosu Castle with Koichiro (Nakano) to participate in a council to decide the representative of the Oda family.
Koichiro visits the senior retainers to find out who they intend to recommend as their representative. Meanwhile, Hideyoshi meets with the distraught Ichi (Aoi Miyazaki) and asks her to do something for him privately. With their respective intentions intertwined, on the eve of the council, Hideyoshi summons only the senior retainers, including Katsuie (Makiya Yamaguchi), and asks to have a discussion without any members of the Oda family present...and the story unfolds from there.
In the final stages, Hideyoshi managed to outmaneuver Katsuie and others, and quickly won over Sanboshi, who had become the head of the Oda family at a young age.
