It was revealed on August 6th that the latest installment in the Disney & Pixar animated film series "Toy Story," "Toy Story 5" (directed by Andrew Stanton and co-directed by Kenna Harris), has surpassed 10 billion yen in domestic box office revenue.
The film was released on July 3rd, and as of August 5th, it had grossed 10,096,338,080 yen and attracted 7,187,835 viewers. Reaching 10 billion yen in just 34 days after its release is the fastest in Pixar Animation history, and it is now within sight of the 10.8 billion yen final gross of "Toy Story 3" (2010), which was the highest-grossing film in the series.
The theater attracts a wide range of customers, primarily in their teens and twenties, but also families, men and women in their thirties and older, and couples.
