It has been announced that voice actress Yu Kobayashi will be voicing Penpen Neko in the TV anime "Yani Neko," which is based on the manga by Nyannyan Factory currently serialized in "Young Magazine" (Kodansha).
A still from episode 6, "Nyaa's Summer Begins and Ends," has also been released. In episode 6, Al-neko disappears during a drinking party and is somehow found on Enoshima Island. Yani-neko and the others are operating as usual, but a new problem seems to be looming over the beastmen apartment.
"Yani Neko" is a manga depicting the daily life of "the most worthless cat." It has been serialized in "Young Magazine" since April 2023. The anime is directed by Taku Kimura, with Takashi Aoshima writing the script, Riki Matsuura designing the characters, and Keiichi Suzuki composing the music. It is being produced by Bibury Animation Studios.
Yuko Natsuyoshi plays Yanineko, and the cast Misato Matsuoka as Yakuneko, Yurie Funato as Hameneko, Ayaka Shimizu as Kansaineko, Shiori Izawa as Aruneko, Tetsu Inada as Ochinpo Tatsuro, and Toru Inada as the landlord. It airs every Thursday at 12:30 AM on TOKYO MX and BS11.
