A still image has been released showing Mayu Hotta Sakaguchi.
Hotta plays Satsuki Higashihama, a single mother whom the protagonist, Yuhei Nishiyama (played by Sakaguchi), has feelings for. Three stills have been released, showing Satsuki holding her young daughter, Asako (played by Ema Kurata).
Hotta commented on her feelings when she first read the script, saying, "At first, it was difficult to empathize with the character. It was a start full of things I didn't understand." She explored the character while talking with director Nakano, and eventually said, "I started to want to understand her, and the feeling that 'I want to protect this Satsuki' began to sprout." She also reflected, "Playing Satsuki without predicting her future was a challenge for me as an actress, and I carefully built up each day in the environment of shooting in chronological order."
