"Platinum Family" (TV Asahi, Tuesdays at 7pm, excluding some areas) is a program showcasing the lifestyle of a "luxurious family." On August 19th, a two-hour special will be aired, showcasing the luxurious home of a former professional boxer turned "big-name actor."
Entertainer Izumi Mori interviewed him about his home in Seijo (Setagaya Ward), one of Tokyo's most prestigious residential areas. Mori was impressed by the luxurious 14LDK mansion, saying, "It feels like a celebrity."
Before becoming an actor, the owner was a popular professional boxer who set a Japanese record at the time with 12 consecutive knockouts. In his study, there are many scripts from classic dramas in which the owner has appeared, such as "Hanzawa Naoki" (TBS, 2020) and NHK's historical drama series. The owner's true identity will be revealed during the program.
The program will also feature a close look at the life of Summer Wars Arimasa, the 16th head of Takeshige Honke Brewery, a long-established sake brewery in Saku City, Nagano Prefecture, which served as the model for the Jinnouchi family in the hit animated film "Summer Wars" (directed by Mamoru Hosoda, 2009). The program will also feature the rigorous morning training sessions at the Naruto stable, led by former ozeki Kotooshu (Naruto stablemaster).
