To commemorate the start of a new anime adaptation of the popular manga "Hell Teacher: Jigoku Sensei Nube," which was serialized in "Weekly Shonen Jump" (Shueisha) on TV Asahi on July 2nd, it has been announced that a campaign for the original comic will be held at online bookstores. From July 3rd to 16th, the digital editions of "Hell Teacher: Jigoku Sensei Nube" (all 20 volumes) will be sold for 70 yen (excluding tax) per volume, and the opening chapters of each work in the series will be made available for free for a limited time.
The works that will be made available for free for a limited time are volumes 1-3 of "Hell Teacher: Jigoku Sensei Nube," volumes 1-4 of "Hell Teacher: Jigoku Sensei Nube NEO," volume 1 of "Hell Teacher: Jigoku Sensei Nube S," 15 pages from volume 1 of "Hell Teacher: Jigoku Sensei Nube: One Night Resurrection," volumes 1-2 of "Izuna the Psychic Medium," volumes 1-2 of "Izuna the Psychic Medium Ascension," 15 pages from volume 1 of "Izuna the Psychic Medium Special Edition," and 80 pages from volume 1 of "Hell Teacher: Jigoku Sensei Nube PLUS," which will be released on July 4th.
"Hell Teacher: Jigoku Sensei Nube" is a manga written by Makura Shou and illustrated by Okano Takeshi, which was serialized in "Weekly Shonen Jump" from 1993 to 1999. The story is about a young teacher, Meisuke Nueno(Nube), who is assigned to Domori Elementary School and solves a series of incidents with the power of the "demon hand" that resides in his left arm. The official sequel, "Hell Teacher: Jigoku Sensei Nube NEO", was serialized in "Grand Jump" (same publisher) from 2014 to 2018, and "Hell Teacher: Jigoku Sensei Nube S" was serialized in "Saikyō Jump" (same publisher) from 2018 to 2021. "Hell Teacher: Jigoku Sensei Nube Kai" began serialization in "Saikyō Jump" (same publisher), and "Hell Teacher: Jigoku Sensei Nube PLUS" began serialization in "Shonen Jump+" (same publisher) in May of this year. The total number of copies of the series published is about 29 million.
This will be the first time a new anime version of "Hell Teacher: Jigoku Sensei Nube" has been produced in about 26 years since the OVA "Hell Teacher: Jigoku Sensei Nube: The Greatest Battle in History! The Attack of the Demons!!," which was released in 1999. It is also a hot topic that Ryotaro Okiayu , who played the main character Nube in the TV anime, movie anime, and OVA broadcast from 1996 to 1997, will continue to play the role.
