It has been announced that Sanrio characters will collaborate with the TV anime "Oshi no Ko," which is based on a popular manga currently being serialized in "Weekly Young Jump" (Shueisha). The theme is "Magical Fantasy Stage," and original visuals have been released showing characters from "Oshi no Ko" and Sanrio characters enjoying an idol festival together.
The visuals feature pairs of Hello Kitty x Ruby, My Melody x Arima Kana, Little Twin Stars x Ai, Pompompurin x MEMcho, Cinnamoroll x Aqua, Kuromi x Kurokawa Akane, and Bad Badtz-Maru x Pieyon, each wearing a matching stage costume.
Goods using the visuals will be released at Sanrio direct stores, Sanrio corners in department stores, the Sanrio online shop, and elsewhere. The lineup includes mascot holders dressed in idol costumes (7 types, 3,696 yen each), a clear pouch large enough to store the mascot holders (2,200 yen), and bangs clips (3 types, 946 yen each) that come in sets of Oshi no Ko and Sanrio characters. Two secret items will be released: a mascot and a star-shaped charm reminiscent of a penlight (7 types, 990 yen each).
