The NHK Taiga drama "Dear Radiance(To You, Shining)" (General TV, Sunday 8pm and others) stars actress Yoshitaka Yuriko. The subtitle of the 42nd episode, which will be broadcast on November 3rd, is "Kawabe no Chikai(The Riverside Vow)," and the synopsis and scene cuts have been released.

"Dear Radiance" is the 63rd Taiga drama. Set in the aristocratic society of the mid-Heian period, the protagonist is Murasaki Shikibu (Mahiro), who later wrote "The Tale of Genji," said to be the world's oldest novel written by a woman. The script was written by Oishi Shizuka, who is writing a Taiga drama for the second time since "Koumyou ga Tsuji" in 2006, and depicts the glittering world of Heian aristocrats and the life of a woman who lived, wrote, and loved with all her heart.
In the 42nd episode, Michinaga (Emoto Tasuku) and Emperor Sanjo (Kimura Tatsunari) fight for supremacy at the Imperial Court.
Michinaga makes his daughter Kenshi (Kurasawa Anna) the Empress of Emperor Sanjo, but Emperor Sanjo declares that the Crown Princess Sukeko (Asakura Aki), who has been with him for many years, will be made Empress. Michinaga then devises a plan to demonstrate his power. However, something strange begins to happen to his health...
Meanwhile, while visiting his hometown, Mahiro (Yoshitaka) comes across his daughter Kenshi (Minami Sara) carrying the injured Sojumaru (Ito Kentaro)... And so the story unfolds.
