"Omusubi" (General TV, Monday to Saturday, 8am and others), starring Hashimoto Kanna, is the NHK morning drama series to air in the second half of 2024. The fifth week, "About That Day", will begin on October 28th.
When asked by Shoya (Sano Hayato) why she always looks sad, Yui (Hashimoto) begins to talk about her memories from when she was six years old and living in Kobe.
At that time, Masato (Kitamura Yukiya) and Aiko (Aso Kumiko) were running a barber shop, and Yui, who loved Sailor Moon, would draw pictures of her and imitate her costume, and her sister Ayumu would do her hair in Sailor Moon style.
However, in the early hours of January 17, 1995, Yui and her friends encountered a major earthquake and witnessed their beloved home being destroyed.
"Omusubi" is a "Heisei youth graffiti" about a heroine born in 1989 who, with her "gal spirit" of valuing her individuality at all times, connects people's hearts and futures as a nutritionist. It is an original work by screenwriter Nonji Nemoto, known for NHK's drama "Shojiki Real Estate," among others.
