The 55th episode of the NHK Asadora drama "Omusubi " starring Kanna Hashimoto was broadcast on December 13th, and the disturbing final scene drew viewers' attention.
In the 54th episode (broadcast on December 12th), Yui (Hashimoto) is invited by Sawada (Sekiguchi Mandy), the ace of the Seikawa Electric baseball team, to work as a nutritionist at Seikawa Electric's employee cafeteria, which her boyfriend Shoya (Sano Hayato) belongs to. However, Yui feels it is unfair that Shoya is using his connections to get the job, and is worried about whether she should accept the offer.
In the 55th episode, Yui takes the final interview at Seika Electric and successfully gets a job offer. She decides to work as a nutritionist in the company cafeteria, and graduates from vocational school with "Satchin" Sachi (Yamamoto Maika), "Kasumin" Kasumi (Taira Yuna), and "Morimori" Morikawa (Kote Shinya).
Towards the end of the episode, Shoya was practicing pitching when he seemed to feel something strange in his shoulder. The 55th episode ended with Shoya calmly rolling his shoulder and the narrator saying, "...I have a feeling something turbulent is going to happen."
Something strange happened to Shoya, who had mastered a curveball and overcome his slump, and people were expressing their concern on social media, saying things like, "What an ominous ending...", "I have a bad feeling", "I'm worried about Shoya's shoulder", "An injury flag has been raised", and "I feel depressed even though it's morning... Don't take away Yui-chan's smile and Shoya's reason to live!"
